Boddam lighthouse:

was the work of Robert Stephenson 1803-1859 (son of George Stephenson and grandfather of Robert Louis Stephenson). The lighthouse  was established in 1827 and was automated in 1988. It is 115ft high, flashing white every 5 seconds, visible for 28 nautical miles. The nearby fog-horn (3 blasts of 3 seconds every 90 seconds)was discontinued in 2000.

Peterhead South Breakwater lighthouse:

Built on a granite roundel at the end of the 1000ft long breakwater, commenced in 1888 using prisoners from nearby Peterhead Prison as a source of labour. The lighthouse dates from 1906, is 56ft high and provides 2 red flashes every 12 seconds.

Peterhead North Breakwater Lighthouse:

Built on the end roundel of the North Breakwater (completed 52 years late - in 1963), this differs in appearance considerably from the South Breakwater lighthouse due to the project having insufficient funding to build a matching lighthouse.

South Harbour Lighthouse:

Peterhead's south harbour was designed and built by John Smeaton (builder of the Eddystone lighthouse)between 1724 and 179

 Rattray Head:

Designed by David Alan Stevenson, the fortress-style base was constructed to accommodate engines and compressors for a powerful foghorn (2 blasts every 45 seconds - discontinued in 2001).

The lighthouse was commissioned in 1895, it is 112ft high and was automated in 1982. It provides 3 white flashes every 30 seconds, visible for 24 nautical miles.
