Culsh Monument offers some of the best views of the Buchan landscape. It was erected in Culsh Cemetry in 1876 in memory of Aberdeenshire's first MP, William Dingwall Fordyce of Brucklay. This prominent landmark, near to the village of New Deer is open to the public and has an narrow internal spiral staircase leading to the viewing platform. It is open to the public all year round and is free of charge.
