Forest of Deer

The Forest of Deer comprises Drinnies Wood, Louden Wood and White Cow Wood. There are many enjoyable walks to be had in all, with picnicing facilities and monuments along the way.

Lenabo Wood

Lenabo wood is a forestry plantation.  There are walks through the wood which is well known for fugi and roe deer.  Durind WWi the area was a site for coastal airships needed to attack the many U Baots that past the coast on their way to the atlantic.  One was shot down and a memorial to the crew members can be seen at St Johns church, Longside

Acsess to Lebano wood is from Peterhead is on the road to Stockbribge and Kinmundy from the A950 two miles from its junction with the A90.  From Aberdeen turn rght at the sing to Peterhead on the A952 north of Ardalie.
